Fall 2023 Awards & Winter Information

The following grant awards were made at our Fall board meeting:
  • Vero Beach Museum—42nd International Lecture Series—$10,000
  • National Atomic Museum Foundation—Da Vinci Machines & Robotics Exhibit—$15,000
  • Taos Center from the Arts—NM-Based Live Show Series—$2,500
Congratulations to our Fall grant recipients!

We will open our Winter Grant Cycle on December 7th, 2023 and close it on January 7th, 2024. The Winter Grant cycle is focused on Animal & Human Welfare. If you have an idea for a trackable project that fits within this focus area, feel free to contact our executive director, Martina.

Summer 2023 Grant Awards & Fall Info

At our Summer 2023 meeting, the board of the FHL Foundation approved the following grants in our Environment focus area:

  • University of Minnesota—Interpretive Trail Project—$10,000
  • Santa Fe Conservation Trust—Community Trail Project—$14,070
  • Trees, Water & People—NM Pueblo Fence Repair Project—$13,000

Congratulations to our Summer 2023 grant recipients!

Our Fall 2023 Grant Cycle will open on September 1st and close on September 30th. The Fall 2023 Grant cycle will focus on Arts & Humanities. If your organization currently has an account within our grant application and tracking program Grant360, then you are good to go. If you are an organization new to us and you have an idea for a trackable project in the focus area of Arts & Humanities, then send Martina, our Executive Director, a quick email outlining your project. If there is a fit then we will create an account for you within Grant360.

  • Libros for Kids—Book Delivery Program—$10,000
  • Wilderwood Equine Therapy—Neurodivergent Workshops for Professionals—$5,000
  • Reading Quest—Reading Is Magic Summer Camps—$5,000
  • NM High School Musical Theatre Awards—Lessons of Musical Theatre—$5,000
  • Santa Fe Children's Museum—STEAM Ahead Grab & Go Kits—5,000
  • Explora—Statewide STEAM Outreach—$10,000

Our Summer 2023 Grant Cycle will be focused on the environment. This grant cycle will open on June 1st and close on June 30th. If you are new to our Foundation and have an idea for a trackable project in the area of the environment, then feel free to share your idea with the Foundation's Executive Director, Martina, by sending her a brief email.

  • Storehouse New Mexico—Food Box Program—$10,000
  • NM Friends of Foster Childre—Cherish Children Program—$5,000
  • Animal Protection NM—Companion Animal Rescue Effort (CARE)—$10,000
  • Hawks Aloft—NM Raptor Rescue Program—$2,000

Summer 2022 Grant Cycle to Open

Our Summer 2022 Grant Cycle focused on the Environment will open June 1st, 2022, and close on June 30th, 2022. Those organizations who already have an account setup within our grants program Grant360 can use their account to submit a proposal. If you do not have an account and wish to have one setup, please email Martina, our Executive Director, and share a few words about the trackable project you have in mind. If there is a fit then we will have our IT person create an account within two to three business days. We look forward to considering your grant proposal.

Spring 2022 Grant Cycle

Our Spring Grant Cycle will focus on Education. If you have a trackable project that fits within Education, feel free to send us a brief email outlining the project you have in mind. Send your email to Martina at [email protected]. If there is a fit we'll create an account for your Grant Administrator within Grant360 so that he or she is able to submit a proposal. Please note that if your organization already has an account within Grant360, you are good to go. The Spring Grant Cycle will open for proposals on March 1st and close on March 31st. This grant cycle will have a (10) proposal limit and is first come first serve. We look forward to hearing about your trackable Education project.
